This page explains the warranty and returns policy for JBE LED dimmers supplied by JBE Hitech through dimmerled.com.au and authorised partners. It is intended for electricians, contractors, OEMs and serious DIY users who install and operate our dimmers in residential, commercial, industrial and agricultural environments.
The information here covers 2 years warranty period, what is and is not covered, how to request a return authorisation, and what to expect from inspection, repair or replacement.
Nothing in this policy is intended to exclude, restrict or modify any rights you have under Australian consumer law. Where there is any inconsistency, your rights under Australian consumer law take priority.
Unless otherwise stated in writing for a specific product, JBE LED dimmers are supplied with a 2 years warranty against defects in materials and workmanship for a specified period from the original date of purchase. This warranty applies to the original purchaser and to products that have been installed and used in accordance with the relevant datasheet and installation guide.
The warranty covers manufacturing defects that cause the product to fail under normal operating conditions within its specified ratings, including control-signal range, load ratings, ambient temperature and enclosure requirements.
The warranty does not cover damage or failure caused by incorrect installation, wiring mistakes, operation outside specified ratings, incompatible loads, transient or surge events, misuse, physical damage, unauthorised repair or modification, corrosion from unsuitable environments, or normal wear of external accessories and user-replaceable parts.
If assessment shows that a unit has failed due to any excluded cause, it will not be covered by warranty. In that case, we may offer a paid repair or replacement option where practical.
All warranty returns must be authorised in advance. Please do not send hardware back without a return authorisation (RMA), as this can delay assessment and tracking.
To request an RMA, contact us via the Support page and provide:
- Model number of the dimmer and, if available, serial or batch details
- Date and place of purchase and a copy of the invoice or proof of purchase
- A clear description of the fault and how it presents in the installation
- Details of the load type, rated power and control signal used
- Photos of the installation and wiring where practical
Once we have reviewed the information, we will confirm whether the product should be returned for assessment and provide RMA details and return instructions. Returned units are inspected and tested to determine the cause of failure and whether the claim is covered by warranty.
Unless agreed otherwise, you are responsible for arranging and paying for shipping the product to us or to the nominated service location for assessment. Please package the unit securely to avoid transit damage and include the RMA reference.
If the claim is approved as a valid warranty claim, JBE Hitech will, at its option, repair the product, supply a replacement unit of the same or equivalent model, or provide a credit or refund in line with your consumer law rights. We will normally cover the reasonable cost of shipping the repaired or replacement product back to you within Australia.
If the assessment shows that the failure is not covered by warranty, we will advise you of the findings and, where practical, offer options and pricing for repair, replacement or return of the unrepaired unit. In this case, shipping costs both ways are your responsibility.
This warranty applies to the product itself and does not cover labour costs, site visits, removal or reinstallation, or any indirect or consequential losses except where required by law.
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
The warranty described on this page is in addition to, and does not limit, any rights or remedies you may have under Australian consumer law or any other applicable legislation. Where the law provides consumer guarantees or other protections that cannot be excluded, those rights apply in addition to any express warranty given by JBE Hitech.
If you believe a product has experienced a major failure or is otherwise not of acceptable quality, please contact us promptly so that we can discuss the most appropriate remedy in line with your legal rights and the circumstances of the installation.
To start a warranty or returns request, gather the key details about the installation (model, purchase date, load type, symptoms and photos where possible) and submit them through our Support page.
On the Support page you will find a dedicated section describing the warranty and returns process, along with a technical support contact form. Use that form to lodge your request, clearly noting that it relates to a potential warranty claim.
Once we receive your information, we will review it, confirm any further details we need, and advise whether the product should be returned for assessment along with RMA instructions. For urgent or critical systems, please highlight the impact so that we can take this into account when scheduling assessment and response.
