Use this page to request technical help with JBE LED dimmers used in homes, cinemas, theatres, poultry sheds and other installations.
We can assist with:
- Product selection and control-signal compatibility (0–10 V, 1–10 V, 0–20 mA, PLC/SCADA outputs).
- Installation questions, wiring checks and commissioning issues.
- Operational faults such as no dimming, limited range, flicker or unexpected behaviour.
- Harsh-environment issues in poultry and agricultural facilities.
Typical response times are within 1 business day. More complex investigations (especially with SCADA/PLC systems) may take longer; we will let you know if we need additional information or lab testing.
Support on this page is specific to JBE Hitech products supplied via dimmerled.com.au and our distribution partners.
Having the right information ready speeds up fault finding and reduces back-and-forth emails. Before submitting a support request, please collect:
- Dimmer model and, if available, serial or batch number (from the label).
- Installation type and application (e.g. residential downlights, cinema, theatre, poultry shed, industrial control).
- Load details: number and type of fittings, brand/model of LED drivers or lamps, total load in watts or amps.
- Control source: 0–10 V / 1–10 V / 0–20 mA, PLC/SCADA analogue card, wall control, or other controller.
- Wiring diagram or description, including any other dimmers, relays, timers or controllers in the circuit.
- Clear description of symptoms: what is expected vs what actually happens, and when it occurs.
- Photos or a simple sketch of the installation, terminal wiring and control connections if possible.
If the issue is intermittent, note when it happens (time of day, temperature, particular scenes or levels, bird age in poultry sheds, etc.).
Many issues can be resolved quickly by checking:
If you still need help after this, use the form below.
Once you submit this form, a JBE Hitech engineer will review the details and may reply with clarification questions, suggested tests or wiring checks.
We normally respond within 1 business day. For complex SCADA/PLC or custom-control issues, we may suggest a paid engineering engagement via our Services page.
Your email address is used only to respond to your enquiry. For more details, see our Privacy Policy.
JBE LED dimmers are designed for long service life in demanding environments, but faults can still occur. Our warranty process is straightforward:
- Submit a support request using the form above, including as much detail as possible.
- We work with you to confirm whether the issue is likely product-related, installation-related or load-related.
- If a potential product fault is identified, we may issue a return authorisation and request the unit for assessment.
- We assess the dimmer and advise whether repair, replacement or another solution is appropriate under our warranty terms.
Full details, including coverage, exclusions, shipping responsibilities and Australian consumer law information, are set out in our Warranty & Returns policy.
Service and repair options
Some issues are not simple product faults but involve wider system design, control integration or harsh-environment challenges. In these cases, JBE Hitech can offer paid engineering services, including:
- SCADA and PLC diagnostics for dimmer control integration.
- Investigation of complex flicker or interaction between control systems, drivers and dimmers.
- Electronics-level repair or modification where appropriate.
- Advice on improving reliability in poultry sheds and other demanding sites.
If your support request suggests that dedicated engineering time is required, we will discuss options with you before proceeding.
Some installations are time-sensitive or safety-critical – for example, lighting for poultry welfare, emergency egress in theatres, or production areas controlled via PLC/SCADA.
If a JBE dimmer issue is seriously affecting operations:
- Provide as much detail as possible in the support form, and set the urgency to “System down / critical”.
- Where safe to do so, restore lighting using a known-good bypass or fallback method (such as fixed-on supply, alternative circuit or backup control).
- Record any alarms, error messages or PLC/SCADA diagnostics that may help pinpoint the problem.
We will prioritise critical enquiries where possible, but we cannot provide 24/7 emergency field service.
- Always ensure there is a safe fallback lighting method independent of any single dimmer.
- Do not attempt live work – isolate power before changing wiring or hardware.
- Consider keeping a spare dimmer on site for key locations.
- For complex control systems, we may recommend a structured engineering engagement via our Services page.
