Equipment We Repair
Common Failure Modes
Typical causes we diagnose and fix to restore reliable operation:
- Overvoltage and transients: damaged MOVs/TVS, failed input stages, blown tracks.
- Thermal damage: dried capacitors, cracked solder joints, overheated MOSFETs/IGBTs.
- Relay and contact wear: sticking contacts, coil failures, snubber degradation.
- Power anomalies: brownouts, inrush, underrated supplies, protection trips.
- Communication faults: RS-485/CAN/Ethernet PHY failures and connector issues.
- Environmental: dust, moisture ingress, corrosion and conformal coating failures.
We perform root-cause analysis so the same fault doesn’t return.
Testing & Calibration
Every repaired unit is validated on the bench with load and signal simulation to manufacturer specs or better:
- Power: isolated AC/DC sources, inrush/hold-up, ripple and transient checks.
- Signal: 0–10V, 1–10V, 0–20mA/4–20mA, encoder and digital IO stimulation.
- Thermal: soak tests and fan curve verification.
- Comms: RS-232/485, CAN, Modbus and Ethernet where applicable.
- Calibration: multi-point adjustment with traceable meters; results recorded.
Test results are captured in a repair report for your maintenance records.
Preventive Maintenance
Reduce unplanned stops with scheduled service:
- Capacitor refresh and thermal management upgrades for high-duty cycles.
- Fan, filter, and heatsink cleaning or replacement.
- Firmware backup, config export and connector rework.
- Inspection reports with photos and recommendations.
Plans available per asset or line with quarterly, biannual or annual cadence.
Pricing & Turnaround
Transparent estimates and rapid response:
- Evaluation: Fixed assessment fee credited against approved repairs.
- Standard repair: Quoted after diagnostics; most jobs completed in 3–7 business days.
- Priority service: 24–48h diagnostics with queue-jump option (surcharge applies).
- Warranty: 6 months on repair work unless otherwise stated.
- Logistics: Ship to us with RMA; we return-tested units with a repair report.
What to include for fastest turnaround:
- Make/model, serial number and observed symptoms.
- Any previous repairs or modifications.
- Operating environment (temperature, dust, moisture).
- Photos of labels, connectors and damaged areas.
Once submitted, we’ll confirm RMA instructions and an ETA.
